Excane, Inc. is a Delaware C corporation building crypto infrastructure from Istanbul. We ship slowly, test more than is comfortable, and publish what our software can and cannot do.
Most crypto products are judged on what they let you do. We think the interesting question is what they prevent — what happens on the worst day, when a phrase is stolen, a phone is taken, or someone is standing over you asking for your password.
That question has a technical answer, and it is unglamorous: put the rules on-chain, where no company can override them and no support ticket can bypass them. Then prove the rules hold, publicly and repeatedly, instead of asking anyone to take your word for it.
It is a slower way to build. It also means the claims on this site can be checked by anyone willing to read a program.
Excane was founded by Yigit Karabenli, a French–Turkish founder who studied law in France and spent his early career in real estate, travel and construction management before teaching himself to code at 33. He is 38, and has written every line of PENGY — the Solana program, the native cryptography, the mobile app and the backend infrastructure.
That is an unusual background for a security engineer, and it shapes the work. A legal education is training in reading rules adversarially: finding the case the drafter did not consider. It turns out to be good preparation for writing software that has to survive someone genuinely trying to break it.
The first hires will be engineers in Istanbul, funded by the current round.
Two Solana applications built and published solo, including a live parimutuel game, plus a Solana Mobile developer relationship.
The three-factor vault program is designed and deployed to devnet, with six re-runnable on-chain proofs of its security properties.
Delaware C corporation formed to hold the products. Post-quantum authorization, emergency contacts, duress alerts and the dead man's switch all land and are verified on-chain.
An independent security review returned zero critical and zero high findings. A full third-party audit is under way against a pinned baseline, and a pre-seed round is open. Mainnet follows the audit.
Nexy and the exchange, sharing PENGY's custody model and fee tiers, so one account carries across everything we build.
We are hiring engineers in Istanbul after the round closes, and always want to hear from security researchers who enjoy breaking things.
